Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert pick up early ACM nods

The Academy of Country Music will roll out the nominees for its 50th annual Academy of Country Music Awards 7:30 a.m. Friday morning on its social media accounts. However Thursday, nominations in three ACM categories were revealed: Video of the Year, Songwriter of the Year Award and its radio awards.

Video of the Year nominees are: “American Kids” by Kenny Chesney, directed by Shaun Silva and produced by Don Lepore; “Cop Car” by Keith Urban, director by John Urbano, produced by Michelle Abnet; “Drunk On A Plane” by Dierks Bentley, directed by Wes Edwards, produced by Clarke Gallivan; “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” by Glen Campbell, directed by James Keach and produced by Julian Raymond; “Somethin’ Bad” by Miranda Lambert and Carrie Underwood, directed by Trey Fanjoy and produced by Trent Hardville.

The Video of the Year Award winner will be announced Sunday, April 19, around the 50th annual ACM Awards, which will air live at 7 p.m. from AT&T Stadium in North Texas on CBS.
